Turns out the coolant leak was actually coming from the plastic crossover pipe that leads from the water pump housing to the thermostat on the other side of the motor.(the water pump itself is also plastic)
Getting to the water pump meant lowing the engine and most of the front end needs to come off to access the bolts.
H opefully getting something more reliable soon so the mini can get parked.

What are you looking for as a replacement! At least that's one more thing fixed? They are cool cars, but stuff like this makes me never want to own one...

I approve! Older Nissans are quality cars....their newer ones....eh, I’m not sure. They’re OK, but so much lacking in character...

I don’t see any mistakes with that...hell if this was 6 months from now, I would seriously consider it as well.
I was just driving an e46 325 on coilovers and it is an utterly amazing thing....

My Clubman had the famous thermostat housing leak - is that what you mean? It wasn’t so bad except the clip back up under the intake was quite difficult.
